How to Measure
String or Paper Method
Cut a thin strip of paper or use a piece of string. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you plan to wear the ring on. Mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters. Divide that number by 3.14 to get your finger’s diameter, then find your size in the chart below.
Existing Ring Method
Find a ring that already fits the finger you’re sizing. Place it flat on a ruler and measure the inside diameter (from inner edge to inner edge) in millimeters. Match that measurement to the chart below.
Tips for an Accurate Fit
- Measure at the end of the day — fingers are slightly larger then.
- Avoid measuring when your hands are cold, as fingers shrink in cooler temperatures.
- If you’re between sizes, size up for a more comfortable fit.
- Your dominant hand is typically a half size larger than your non-dominant hand.
- Knuckle size matters — if your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, size to your knuckle.
